U.S. Mint, Customized Industrial Process Efficiency Solutions Program (CIPES) Audit, Denver, Colorado

Energy audit involving investigation of mechanical equipment and identification of energy conservation opportunities.  The project is part of the Public Service Company of Colorado Customized Industrial Process Efficiency Solutions (C.I.P.E.S.) program, giving emphasis to process loads with electrical demand savings potential.  Fourteen potential Energy Conservation Opportunities (ECOs) were identified.  Field measurements and calculations were performed to prioritize measures by potential costs and savings.  Twelve ECOs were recommended with a combined total 7.4 year simple payback.  Analysis and report included cost opinions, energy savings estimates, and summary of recommended modifications for each opportunity.

Kodak Colorado Division, Energy Conservation Program, Windsor, Colorado

Identification of energy measures site-wide, as well as opinions of probable cost to implement recommendations based on simple payback.  Report included approximately 54 general categories of potential Energy Conservation Opportunities ECOs with about 60 additional subcategories or specific applications.  13 ECOs were evaluated that appeared to meet the 2 year payback goal.  Adjustments made during the audit based on recommendations had simple paybacks of far less than one year.  Analysis and report included cost opinions, energy savings estimates, and summary of recommended modifications for each opportunity.
